Sustainable Design Is In Our DNA

Highlights of Our Sustainable Design Expertise

We understand that sustainability is more than design - it’s also maintenance, operation, and education. We stay engaged with our clients long after the project is occupied.

At G+P we have a successful process for benchmarking with clients to collaborate how best to set energy efficiency or Net Zero Energy goals, design to them, and operate with ease. We understand that you can’t improve until you measure.

We have multiple Net Zero Energy projects on the boards and in operation, our two recently completed Elementary/Middle Schools in Baltimore City are exceeding their goals for operating efficiently and harvesting more than enough solar energy to offset consumption.  We're excited to share our successful process with you!

It’s about harnessing the power of the natural environment to enhance wellness, learning, living, and happiness. We have WELL AP on staff to navigate the goal of advancing human health in our buildings and communities. We also employ biophilic design strategies and biomimicry to encourage the connection between humans and nature.

We strive to improve the health and wellness of occupants — for generations to come.

It’s all about creating opportunities for learning, therefore we take extra steps to make the building and site a teaching tool for sustainable strategies and materials.

We have many resources to help users understand the sustainability goals which can help educate willing participants in the successful operation of your high performance building.

Let's Talk

Everyone has the chance to change the world around them by implementing creative sustainable design strategies, reducing carbon emissions, and investing in environmental literacy. Grimm + Parker is here to help you on this journey of green discovery.

Green Apple Day of Service

For the past 10 years and counting, Grimm + Parker staff have been captaining and hosting annual events for USGBC's Center for Green School's Green Apple Day of service. Our staff has planted gardens, painted sundials and playgrounds, hosted green school orientation tours of recently constructed projects, and made passports, fortune tellers, maps, and games to help demystify green features in schools for students, staff, parents, and community visitors.
