New Construction

The 40,000 sf Fire and Rescue Station will house a five-bay drive-thru apparatus bay with associated support and living areas, including sleeping quarters for 26 personnel, as well as administrative and training spaces. The 10,100 sf Police Substation will provide administrative space, meeting space, lockers for 60 personnel, and storage.

The Urban District Office will provide 6,900 sf of administrative space, meeting space, and storage for the Pike District. Additional facilities include 3,200 sf of shared exercise and wellness areas, storage, and a public meeting room.

The site layout provides safe and effective emergency response vehicle access in and out of the drive-thru Apparatus Bay through careful coordination of visitor/public parking, secure police parking, and overall vehicular traffic. The building's compact design is intended to reduce response time under all conditions of use, particularly for the Fire and Rescue Department. This approach is balanced with the effort to provide access to daylight and views for interior spaces.
