14 years after opening the iconic Music Center at Strathmore, G+P was hired to expand the cafe and enhance circulation. The goal of the project was to add to the performance facility in a way that integrates seamlessly with the signature design.

Because of the excellent relationship wtih Grimm + Parker, we did not have to think twice of retaining [them] for this new addition to our award-winning facility.

Bring In The Outdoors

The 9,000 sf addition encloses the existing cafe terrace with operable glass walls that can be opened as weather permits. The expansion also includes a new escalator to allow patrons easy access to the Orchestra level. The new west Orchestra lobby allows for more gathering space, resulting in the relocation and renovation of the Comcast Circle Lounge.

This soaring, circular pavilion addition doubles the number of patrons who can be served with glass walls that open up to nature.
