Steve Parker, co-founder of Grimm + Parker Architects, retires after 44 years

After 44 years of creating together: meaningful architecture + client success,

Steve Parker has retired from the firm he co-founded with Clyde Grimm over four decades ago. Steve has consistently advanced the profession through transformative practice built on core values of inspiring award-winning sustainable design, fostering collaboration, promoting diversity, and mentorship of the next generation of architects.

Grimm + Parker’s focus is architecture that builds and strengthens communities and the public realm. Steve’s legacy can be seen across the region in K-12 and higher education, libraries, recreation, and multi-family housing. He has impacted so many communities for the better, increasing the understanding of the role and value of great design.

Steve has also influenced the practice of architecture, particularly through professional education. He will continue to work with NAAB, NCARB and the AIA in his active retirement.

As Steve sets off on travels with his family, we look forward to staying in touch and know you will join us in wishing him well.

Grimm + Parker will continue to deliver on Steve’s vision through creative collaboration, sustainable solutions, and engaging environments – and we look forward to continuing to work with our clients, colleagues and friends in designing and building a better future.
